Do work that matters

The role of a Platform Engineer is to design, build, and run software platforms to deliver business value, and to write code that automates the running of our infrastructure and environments.

Collaboratively work with other customer facing engineers to design, build and run platforms that are used to deliver business value at greater quality, velocity, and safety. Write code that automates the operations of our platforms, infrastructure, environments, and tooling. Maintain the underlying infrastructure to ensure that it is reliable, secure and scalable. Contribute to making our platforms loved by our engineers and end-users.


Contribute to software that ensures all deployment and operations is as automated as possible, using languages such as Python, and automate implementation of controls into our platforms. Participate in cross-group activities to build a culture of one team, bar-raising both our engineering capability and our technology solutions to drive our strategy.

See yourself in our team

You will be part of the eFIR (Electronic Fixed Income and Rates) team, working on the bank’s ION electronic trading platform. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and extending this system and directly interacting with the bond, IRS, and repo trading desks.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be contributing to the on-going support and extension of the ION platform, using your technical skills and business knowledge to solve real problems to maintain our leading market trading position. You will be conceiving and driving process improvements that add significant business value. You will also be invited to join our regular engineering guilds, both local and global, to engage in knowledge sharing and learning more world-class skills, techniques, and processes.
