The Role
As a Senior Policy, Program or Project Officer at the Department of Education, you will contribute to Australia’s economic prosperity and social wellbeing by creating opportunities and driving better outcomes through access to quality education and learning.
Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
Interpret, draft and review policy and procedural directions within specialist area.
Prepare draft reports, briefing papers, speeches, Ministerial correspondence, and discussion papers for review by executive level employees.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and participate in committees and forums.
Perform independent research work including the preparation of draft reports on relevant program activities and/or project milestones.
Develop and manage project plans.
Manage financial reporting and analysis activities.
Assist in the evaluation of program performance and identify areas for improvement.
