Senior Principal Engineer
Relevant Experience of ++ Years

• Experience in
data modelling, distributed system design, Microservice architecture and
communications protocol

Solid technical foundation in distributed computing and storage, including
significant experience with most of the following: server systems, storage,
I/O, networking, and systems software.

• Advanced programming skills to build distributed storage and compute systems,
backend services, microservices, and web technologies.

• A specialist programmer in Java or C/C++.

• Experience with multi-functional teams, principles and architects

• Experience with GUI front-end development, SQL, Postgres, or equivalent
database tools

• Experience with Agile software development

• Experience in: Multiple OS platforms with a strong emphasis on Linux (CentOS,
Red Hat, Ubuntu), and Windows systems

• Experience with OS-level scripting environments, such as Bourne shell

• Experience working in a research environment that relies extensively on Open
Source solutions

• In-depth knowledge of the TCP / IP protocol suite; security architecture;
securing and hardening Operating Systems; Networks; Databases; and Applications
