We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will work with the Program Manager to bring Link Up projects to fruition, developing new project ideas from conception through to implementation.
The role involves coordinating culturally therapeutic programs, gatherings, events, and activities for the Stolen Generations and their families in metropolitan and country areas, working in partnership with key stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely delivery and cultural sensitivity;
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs and develop solutions;
Maintain accurate records and reports, tracking progress and outcomes;
Provide support and guidance to colleagues, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect;
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve services and outcomes.
**Requirements:**
Degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, community development);
Proven experience in project management, community engagement, and stakeholder relationships;
Strong understanding of Aboriginal cultures and histories, with a commitment to reconciliation and social justice;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and mutual respect;
Familiarity with Victorian government policies and procedures, particularly those related to child safety and wellbeing.
