Responsibilities
This individual will report to the Controller, work closely with property management and asset management teams and be responsible for full cycle accounting and financial reporting functions related to their designated properties
Prepare monthly financial statement analysis in accordance with GAAP
Prepare monthly and quarterly variance reports
Prepare lender reporting packages and compliance certifications
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Record monthly adjusting and accrual entries (including construction and retention)
Update fixed asset system for additions and disposals and record monthly depreciation/amortization
Run monthly depreciation and record entries
Review CIP schedule
Monitor cash balances
Work with AM and PM teams on other operational reporting initiatives, as necessary
Assist in the annual audit and tax return preparation
Assist in annual budget preparation
Prepare property distributions
CAM reconciliations

This is a great opportunity for an individual seeking a highly visible and responsible position with a full service commercial real estate development company whose presence is growing throughout the Western United States.

This individual will report to the Controller, work closely with property management and asset management teams and be responsible for full cycle accounting and financial reporting functions related to their designated properties.

Job Details

Job Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Accounting & Reporting
• Prepare monthly financial statement analysis in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare monthly and quarterly variance reports

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 3+ years prior real estate accounting experience, preferably commercial
