Brief Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) engineer with around 6+yrs of experience in Defining Test Plan/ Strategy, Designing/Implementing Functional, Non-Functional Tests, ability to debug and isolate issues of on-premises / cloud applications. Engineer should also be well versed in Test Automation of on-prem application or cloud applications using Automation frameworks.

As a Test Engineer, should also monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards. As well perform assessment of defects that are found by customers and identify opportunities proactively to enhance the Overall Product Quality.

Key Responsibilities

v Review Product requirements /Use Cases, Design specifications and provide timely and meaningful feedback

v Derive/Design Test Plan/Test Scenarios and Test Cases and ensure overall test coverage for the End-to-End Test Coverage

v Guide and assist junior Engineers in the Team

v Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

v Design, develop and execute automation scripts using in-house/open source tools

v Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs

v Pro-actively Perform thorough Regression testing when bugs are resolved

v Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

Key Requirements

v Proven 6+ yrs of work experience in Software Quality Engineering on Data Protection Software or equivalent Client/Server Web Applications running on Virtualization Platform (VMWare, Hyper-V), Cloud Platform (AWS, Azure) / Hyper-Converged Infrastructure

v Strong knowledge in Enterprise Class Storage Products

v Strong knowledge of Software QA methodologies, tools (like TestRail, JIRA) and processes

v OS (Windows / Linux) Administration knowledge, includes experience in install/config/troubleshoot/validate applications on Windows/Linux Platforms

v Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive Test Plans & Test Scenarios

v Hands-on experience with both White box & Black box testing

v Strong Programming skills using Java and experience in UI Automation using Selenium or equivalent.

v Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum Release Process

v Experience in REST/SOAP API automation is preferred.

v Experience in design/development/enhancement of Automation Frameworks

v Knowledge on Product Licensing and Qualification is a plus

v Knowledge on Databases (SQL / Exchange) or Microsoft SharePoint / OneDrive Administration is a plus.

v Expertise in Product Security Testing / with Performance/Scale Testing and Analysis

v BE/BTech Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject

v Hands-on experience WAN Simulator, Disk IO, Network Bandwidth Calculators will be a plus

v Certifications specific to Cloud, Software Testing is a plus.
