Job Summary:

As a Shopify Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software solutions for the Shopify platform. You will work on a variety of projects, including feature development, platform scalability, performance optimization and custom app development. This role requires a strong background in software development, has created at least 1 custom app in Shopify and experience with other programming languages such as PHP (Laravel), Node JS would be bonus.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for the Shopify platform
Custom Shopify App Development
Work with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and prioritize features
Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers
Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise
Participate in code deployments and releases
Continuously improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of the Shopify platform
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in software development
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of experience in software development
Programming languages such as PHP (Laravel), Node JS would be bonus.
Strong understanding of software development best practices, including agile methodologies, code reviews, and testing
Experience with web application development and web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
