Senior Software Development Engineer - DevOps

Min of 3 days per week from the Crawley office

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will have a strong affinity for automation.

Your primary focus will be DevOps and the automation of the team's processes, including the CI/CD pipelines. You will also work with the team to further develop our test automation and have the opportunity to contribute to the product development.

Your responsibilities will include ( but are not limited to):
• Build and maintain DevOps capabilities to support the Agile development team.
• Establish and track metrics to assess CI/CD pipeline health and performance.
• Continuously improve quality tools and methods, while automating processes.
• Demonstrate expert software engineering skills throughout the development life cycle
• Be accountable for the software you ship and for the overall success of the team.
• Be part of a learning organization, always open to test new ideas.
• Be part of a product scrum team with shared objectives and ready to help each other.
• Additional roles and responsibilities may be assigned as required.

Required skills and experience:
• Graduate degree in Computer Science or similar technical field.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines as well as any of the following tools: PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager Templates, Azure VMs, WinRM, and AutoIt.
• Experience with any of the following: Java, C#/.NET Core, Angular, microservice architecture, REST APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud technology, and relational databases such as SQLsrv or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with test automation, and automation frameworks such as Cypress.
• Experience working in a Scrum team using Agile methodologies.
• Strong quality culture, ethical standards, values, and good judgement.
• Critical thinking with ability to provide feedback and formulate improvement plans.
• Ability to explain complex technical problems to non-technical audiences.
