We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Tempus, a leader in precision medicine and advancing the healthcare industry.
Recent advancements in technology have enabled AI to impact clinical care in a meaningful way. Our proprietary platform connects real-world evidence to deliver actionable insights to physicians, providing critical information about treatments for patients at the right time.
The Lens platform is a suite of web-based tools that allow scientists and customers to explore, visualize, and perform data science on the world's largest library of clinical and molecular data.
Key Responsibilities:
Solving scalability issues with applications handling petabytes of molecular data and clinical imagery
Proposing cloud-based architectures and implementing designs across microservices
Leading teams to see initiatives to completion
Requirements:
Experience designing scalable, highly available, cloud-based applications
CloudOps experience with infrastructure as code, cloud access management, and networking
Coding experience with Python, Java, or Ruby
Containerization experience with Kubernetes
Continuous Integration, Deployment, and Delivery experience
Agile methodologies experience (Scrum, XP, etc.)
Nice to Have:
Modern frontend development skills with React or Angular
Prior exposure to GCP infrastructure
Experience with Kubernetes, BigQuery, or GCP's Machine Learning infrastructure
Biotech, genomics, clinical research, and precision medicine experience
Experience building platforms for data science teams
