Senior Software Engineer

Maplejet India Coding Private Limited is a subsidiary company of MapleJet Canada, an innovative design, development, and manufacturing company that specialized in marking and coding equipment.

Maplejet range of printers is part of food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical production lines packaging and is used to print variable data such as expiry date, lot/batch number, or barcodes directly onto packaging while products are produced. We are currently looking for the right candidate for a Software Engineer/Developer to help our MapleJet India office in Noida, UP.

Minimum experience: 8+ years of experience in software development and engineering

Role Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging responsive web applications for the company. Using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript HTML, UX/UI, and CSS.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance systems based on business requirements using approved technologies and coding standards.
• Translate requirements and use cases into technical designs and functional code.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather accurate specifications for new enhancements and applications.
• Monitor and optimize systems to ensure the best performance.
• Maintaining web development documentation, testing cases, and specifications.
• Act as a mentor to other developers with programming issues.
• Good experience with PHP & MySQL.
• Solid understanding of web applications security, session management, and best practices.
• Optimizing the company's cloud-based computing architecture
• Building software releases and testing new code
• Automating the development, testing, and integration of software releases/fixes
• Documentation in Dokuwiki

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• 8+ years' Hands-on experience in web development
• Hands-on experience with AWS will be an advantage.

Requirements
• Experience in PHP 7.3+ or PHP 8
• Experience in MySQL
• Experience in web design using HTML5, CSS3, and Pure JavaScript.
• Good working knowledge of public cloud environments such as AWS (EC2, RDS)
• Good working knowledge of Linux operating systems and administration
• Experience in WordPress is a plus.
• Good communication skills, understanding and analyzing business needs, and communicating solutions clearly.
• Strong ability to identify issues, obstacles, and opportunities and then develop and implement effective solutions through creativity, innovation, and analytical thinking.
• Good Knowledge of network fundamentals.
• Experience in OOP (Object Oriented Programming
