Alphabria is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator with a strong background in Oracle and MS SQL database management. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of hands-on experience, proven ability to work independently, and flexibility to ensure some overlap (~2 hours) with California business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle and MS SQL databases.">
• Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations.">
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning as needed.">
• Ensure database security, integrity, and backup/recovery processes.">
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues independently.">
• Collaborate with global teams, including overlapping with California business hours.">
• Prepare and maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.">
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.">
• Implement best practices for database management and compliance (especially for banking/finance).">

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (Oracle & MS SQL).">
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.">
• Willingness to accommodate 2hrs of time overlap with the California time zone.">
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.">
• Experience with database security, backup, and recovery.">
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.">
• Prior experience in the banking or financial services sector is a strong plus.">
