What you'll be doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s Enterprise Quality Engineering & Assurance team, part of Enterprise Technology Change Management. As a Senior Test Consultant, you will provide oversight and guidance for end-to-end (E2E) testing programs. Your focus will be on ensuring that testing strategies and plans are comprehensive, sound, and adhere to the Enterprise Delivery Framework and guidelines.

How you'll succeed
Oversee E2E Testing - Provide guidance and oversee E2E testing initiatives, ensuring that E2E testing processes are executed effectively, identifying and addressing any gaps in the testing coverage. Validate that critical business workflows, integrations, and dependencies are tested thoroughly across programs.
Validate Comprehensive Testing Strategy - Ensure a comprehensive approach is taken to end-to-end test planning, ensuring all relevant testing types are incorporated into the plan. Ensure test coverage is robust and quality is instilled in processes and execution. Flagging and mitigating risks associated with planning and execution.
Participate in Creation of a Guide for E2E Testing - Develop and maintain a comprehensive guide that outlines best practices, methodologies, and standards for E2E testing across the organization. Define and enforce standards and metrics to measure E2E test effectiveness across teams.
Test automation & Efficiency - Drive automation within E2E testing, identify opportunities for efficiency and scalability

You can demonstrate experience in 8+ years in software testing, with 3+ years in lead roles overseeing large scale complex change/transformation programs or systems integration. Ability to analyze complex systems and ensure all dependencies are validated in testing. Understand testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration and non-functional testing. Experience in SDLC, Agile and Devops practices. Experience in end-to-end testing, creating test cases and acceptance criteria, test plans and test exit reports. Experience with test data management and environment setup for E2E testing. Partner with QA teams, development teams, business stakeholder and leadership to align E2E testing with business priorities. Familiarity with testing tools, including issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, DevOps, HP ALM). Degree in a business or IT-related discipline from a recognized institution or QA accreditation (e.g., ISTQB Foundation or similar).
