Senior to Staff Engineer | |AI Startup backed by the best|
- Category: IT Engineer & Developer Jobs
- Location: San Francisco, California
- Job Type: Full Time / Part Time
- Salary: Estimated: $ 25K to 32K
- Published on: 2025/09/21
One day, we’ll look at the digital interfaces we use today the same way we now look at floppy disks and dial-up internet.
This is not just another startup. We're shaping the future of digital user experiences by creating "living interfaces," (Regenerative AI) or interfaces that adapt, evolve, and continuously improve themselves. Currently at seed stage, we already have paid users and an impressive roster of enterprise clients using the platform
Backed by Khosla Ventures (OpenAI's first seed investor) and Nat Friedman, we are pioneering this next generation of user interfaces that can adapt, evolve, and autonomously improve themselves: living interfaces.
Led by a seasoned founder with a previous unicorn under his belt, we are addressing foundational challenges in AI and product development. Our focus goes beyond just utilizing ChatGPT (like many in this AI boom); we're developing multimodal models that grasp both user needs and business objectives, empowering user interfaces to consistently and autonomously enhance themselves, while also putting growth engineering (experiments, A/B testing, etc.) on autopilot. This increases conversion anywhere from 12% to 30%, making it a powerful tool for e-commerce and SaaS products.
We are looking for a founding engineer (senior to staff level - also open to head of eng talent) who is ideally full stack and has a strong product sense.
Tech stack: Python, Typescript, NextJS (or React). Also considering Golang and prefer to hire founding engineers who have ideas on weapons of choice ; ) Experience with LLMs (GPT and open-source is a big plus)
Highlights:
- Founder prev founded one unicorn and another AI company that was acquired
- Founding team includes exited founder + GenAI tech lead at big tech, a founding eng & AI lead of $500M+ LLM startup; YC, Stanford, and MIT alums
- Raised oversubscribed $+M+ seed from Khosla Ventures and Nat Friedman. Have already had unsolicited funding offers at a meaningfully higher valuation
- We're seeing strong signs of product traction - average of 12% to 20%+ increase in conversion across all experiments run on the platform
- We're also big fans of OSS and hacker culture; released top trending GitHub project as a company side project and sometimes host 200+ person hackathons
We invite you to apply if you thrive in collaborative, early-stage startup environments and get excited about the future of AI & user interfaces.
