On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer for a 6 month contract based in London (50% office based).
Purpose of the Role:
Within this department the UX team is responsible for the design and development of the User Experience for the Client and Sales Facing applications as well as for solutions for internal functional teams. We are a small team of passionate UX and Visual designers within a top tier investment bank, driving the user experience design of the next generation financial tools. We design for highly skilled, extremely specialised users working in the world's most demanding real-time environments. We work in an agile fashion within a UX-driven development environment.
The Senior UX/UI Designer will drive the design strategy, workflow and entire user experience for a Risk and Regulation program of work.
Responsibilities of the role:
As a Senior UX/UI Designer you will be responsible for:
• UX design processes: Research, Analysis, Design, Validate, Implement and Enhance.
• Write user research interview script, conduct observation / interview sessions with Front-Office, senior stakeholders and analyse the data to produce actionable insights.
• End-to-end high level design concepts and prototypes for enterprise systems, arrange and conduce workshops with users and stakeholders to validate concepts and create consensus across the project teams.
• Map user and business workflows, work with users, stakeholders and technical teams to validate, finalise and document.
What we require from the candidate:
• Experience conducting user research, paper sketching, low/hi-fi prototyping, detailed wireframes, UI and user requirements specifications.
• Desirable to have domain knowledge within financial services, preferably about Front, Middle and Back-office systems. Working understanding of products, user groups, workflows within an investment bank and sales/trader/client workflows.
• Ability to make complex information understandable and formulate design concepts that are engaging, attractive, and user-friendly.
• Some experience of visual design is beneficial but not essential.
• Good command on UX/UI tools for the creation of low/hi fidelity prototypes, wireframes to finish artwork (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure, XD etc.).
