Responsibilities
• Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests during catered events, banquets, and functions
• Set up dining areas according to event specifications, including table arrangements and presentation standards
• Assist with food handling, plating, and presentation to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained
• Clear tables promptly and buss away used dishes to keep service areas clean and organized
• Engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent guest relations and addressing any special requests or needs
• Support food preparation tasks as needed, including buffet setup or replenishment during service
• Follow all food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices to ensure a safe dining environment for guests and staff
Experience
• Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is highly preferred, especially in catering or banquet settings
• Culinary experience or restaurant experience will be considered an asset for understanding food handling and service standards

Job description
• As a server you must be dressed in uniform that has been required by management. Uniform should be clean, pressed and free from any stains or noticeable wear.
• As server you must be fully knowledgeable of all menus that are being served. This includes food and all beverages served. This includes knowing the menu matrix for ingredients and allergies.
• Servers need to be proficient with our POS system. Have full understanding of how to process orders, credit cards and gift cards.
• Servers will meet tables in a timely manner. They will then greet the guests with standard greeting that will be given by management.
• Servers will take orders and communicate with kitchen and bar staff through POS. If they must speak to the chef or bartenders to clarify something they may do that as well.
• During service follow all steps of service necessary, directing bussers on what tables need to have bread, water and to be bussed. Your tables are your responsibility.
• Servers are responsible for their sidework. Every day you will be assigned a sidework station to be completed and checked by the manager on duty.
• If any issues arise with a guest, management must be notified immediately. If you make a mistake, and you will because everyone does, management must also be notified. This is to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Servers are required to tip out a certain portion of their tips. This is based on a percentage of sales. The percentage can change depending on support staff. These percentages are standardized.
• Servers are required to carry their own banks and will cash out with management at the end of their shift. All gratuities will be paid out in cash at the end of the shift. Parties will not be paid out the same day. This is the only exception.
