Essential Criteria

Australian Resident/Citizen
Current Driver's License
Experience in Scientific Instrument Industry
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrate ability to research and learn solutions from available resources
Demonstrate excellent organisational skills
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
Must be available to travel
Desirable

Tertiary Education in a scientific or engineering discipline
Experience in operating, servicing & repairing a diverse range of Scientific Instruments.
Experience in servicing Scientific Instruments in the field
Demonstrated ability to seek out new customer opportunities
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ensuring field service work is completed within due date
Ensuring in-house service work is completed in a timely manner
Operate and maintain a diverse range of scientific equipment
Maintain existing customer relationships
Manage customer enquiries efficiently & effectively
Communicate service issues effectively in timely manner
Use resources to develop necessary skills to install, operate, and train customers on instrument use
Completion of documentation for servicing instruments including checklists, part lists, service reports and certificates
Keep all areas tidy at all times – Warehouse, Lab and workshop
Attend training and professional development
Calibrate, service and repair of scientific instruments
Achieve 100% job completion
Identify and report on opportunities for new instrument sales and service
Working collaboratively with the Service Manager and colleagues to ensure a high-performance service department.
