Off-Highway Industrial MTU/ Mercedes-Benz Technician

The Off-Hwy Mobile MTU / Mercedes Benz Technician plays a crucial role in our operations. They will perform rebuild services on diesel engines OM+00 and 500& 400 series and Exhaust after treatment of engines. The MTU/ Mercedes Benz Technician is responsible for accurately troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing routine maintenance and emergency services and making repair recommendations to customers. This ensures that all scheduled work is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction, a key aspect of our service.

Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair MTU/ Mercedes Benz, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Volvo off-highway industrial diesel engines, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
• Troubleshoot engine malfunctions and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose engine problems.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate work and provide status updates.
• Stay current with industry trends, technology advancements, and MTU/ Mercedes-Benz product developments.

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Requirements
• Certification as an MTU/ Mercedes Benz, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Volvo Diesel Mechanic or equivalent certification from a recognised institution.
• Proven experience working with MTU/ Mercedes Benz off-highway diesel engines, preferably in marine, industrial, or power generation settings.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Diesel Mechanic/Technician Desired Skills/Qualities
• ITI Diesel mechanics/ Diploma Mechanical/ automobile engineering
• Positive attitude and excellent customer relationship skills
• The ability to set goals and accomplish them.
• The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work with little supervision.
