As part of our Digital Technology department, we're seeking a talented Developer with expertise in ServiceNow to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our IT Service Centre's technology roadmap and play a pivotal role in developing innovative solutions.
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Developer with 7-10 years of overall IT experience, including 4-5 years of hands-on development experience in ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ServiceNow Development, integration, and platform administration, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions aligned with our organisation's goals.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop end-to-end solutions aligned with the Uniting ITSC technology roadmap.
Implement Virtual Agent solutions with Natural Language Understanding (NLU), with a preference for experience in Generative AI implementation.
Integrate ServiceNow with MS Teams and other relevant platforms.
Work independently with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions.
Contribute to the implementation of best practices, frameworks, and standards for ServiceNow development.
Provide operational support and mentorship to junior developers as needed.
Collaborate with BAU teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
Execute update set deployments, coordinate upgrades, and follow change management procedures.
Foster a Centre of Excellence in ServiceNow platform across various business domains.
Qualifications and Experience
7-10 years of overall IT experience, with 4-5 years of ServiceNow development experience.
Solid experience in Virtual Agent implementation with NLU is a must, experience
Generative AI implementation with Virtual Agent will be much appreciated
Development experience in ServiceNow integration with MS Teams and other platforms.
Development experience in ServiceNow ITSM, Service Request/catalogue, Employee Centre/Portal, and HRSD modules.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and monthly sprint cycles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work independently with the business. Understand Virtual agent conversations from the business, document the business/technical flow and develop them for business review and feedback.
Experience of working within Agile and monthly sprint cycles.
Ability to work collaboratively in a complex organisation and manage through influence.
ServiceNow developer certification (CAD) is a plus.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of Scrum Agile environment.
Experience in continuous software integration.
Familiarity with application development frameworks and test-driven development.
Proficiency in performance tuning, code profiling, and Object-Oriented Design Principles.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Experience in providing solution estimates and identifying Quality of Service requirements.
Exposure to HR and IT service designs, Jira administration, and BAU improvements.
