The Asian and Korean Studies Programme, Faculty of Arts, UPEI invites applications for a sessional teaching position during the summer 2025 semester, May 12–30, 2025 (an intensive 3-week period). We are seeking a well-qualified candidate to teach the following course:

AST 20+0 Special Topic: Korean Economy, Politics, and Policies

Course description:

This new special topic course explores the national-international dynamics of economy, politics, and policies in South Korea. Students will learn and discuss its interesting and engaging issues, strategies, and policies that shape and influence Korean society in its ongoing and future situations under the challenge of global politics and economic policies.

Qualifications:

Master’s and doctoral degrees in Policy Studies, Economy, and/or Political Science are required. Applications with graduate degrees in other programs (disciplines) will not be considered. Qualified candidates are required to be very knowledgeable of South Korea’s political economy and policy making. Your ability to speak, read, and write fluent (native or near-native) Korean will be an asset.

This sessional position is also subject to final budgetary approval.
