Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Set Up Technician to join our team. This role involves working on one of the following shifts: Day (7 AM - 3:30 PM), Swing (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), or Night (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM). The ideal candidate should have experience with machine operation, injection molding, and overhead crane operation. However, mechanically inclined individuals are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
• Set up and remove injection molds and related equipment for the operation of the molding machine.
• Start up, shut down, and troubleshoot injection molding machines.
• Place molds and other tools in assigned locations.
• Monitor cycle times and work on scrap reduction together with the production lead.
• Operate forklift and bridge crane when necessary.
Essential Skills
• Experience in plastic injection, machine setup, machining, and mechanical repair.
• Mathematical ability.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with injection molding, inspection, and cleanroom production.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Mechanical aptitude and experience, particularly in auto or diesel mechanics.
• Experience working with plastics or resins is beneficial but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Work Environment

You will work on a shift with 6 other process technicians and assist machine operators. The night shift includes a 10% shift differential and currently involves working 6 days a week with an average of 8 hours of overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RANCHO CORDOVA, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
