Work Location and Travel Requirements

At Buildforth by Paradigm, our projects span across the beautiful and diverse landscapes of British Columbia. We are looking for candidates who are versatile and open to the idea of working in various locations, depending on the needs of our projects. This role may involve either out-of-town work in different parts of British Columbia.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our team as a Framing Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading and managing framing crews, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for overseeing day-to-day activities of a team of framers.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead framing crews to ensure timely, budget-friendly project completion.
Conduct and support with layout.
Inspect work quality to meet company standards and building codes.
Read and interpret blueprints and plans to guide framing activities.
Provide clear instructions on the most efficient methods to complete projects.
Coordinate daily tasks and ensure the crew has necessary tools and materials.
Monitor project progress and resolve issues to avoid delays.
Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
Communicate with other trades, management, and clients to ensure smooth project flow.
Train and guide team members to improve their skills and performance.
Qualifications:

Journeyman Carpenter ticket or equivalent certification.
Proven experience in supervising and leading framing crews.
Strong understanding of building codes, construction practices, and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret plans, and technical drawings.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to plan and allocate resources effectively to ensure project efficiency.
Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and ensure project success.
Ability to mentor and train team members to improve their skills and productivity.
Valid driver’s license, clean drivers abstract, and reliable transportation.
First Aid and safety certifications are an asset.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
