About the Role

We are currently seeking a multiskilled Skilled Field Operator to join our Cross City Services team on a permanent full-time basis. In this role, you will undertake all duties associated with the safe driving of Council vehicles, minor plant and transport of persons, equipment and materials, and assist with general labouring and other duties.

This position operates on a 76-hour fortnight with a Rostered Day Off once a fortnight and requires a commitment to ongoing training, flexibility and multiskilling within the Public Spaces Maintenance area to develop and maintain the required skills and competencies of the position.

Essential Criteria

Current MR driver licence
Knowledge of all aspects of operation and maintenance of trucks, vans and trailers including loading, securing and unloading (both mechanical and manual means)
Demonstrated experience in general labouring duties
Competencies in the use of various items of small plant including post hole rammer, core drill, auger and jack pick and general labouring duties
Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White) Card
Commencing salary: $63,3+6.00 - $73,384.00 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation and an Adverse Working Conditions Allowance in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
