About This Opportunity

We currently have vacancies for Skilled Mechanics working continuous shifts (2 x 12 hours days & 2 x 12 hour nights, followed by 4 rest days), based in Botcherby, Carlisle (UK). The Botcherby Plant is a major supplier of our aluminum beverage can products, manufacturing in the region of 1.4 billion cans and in excess of 5 billion ring pull ends per year, operating 24/7.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable individual to join a multinational organisation.

As a Skilled Mechanic you will:-
• Ensure high standards of safety and product excellence.
• Ensure the efficient operation of production machinery and maintain quality standards by making machine adjustments and modifications.
• Effect improvements to the performance of the equipment on an ongoing basis, with a view to increasing output, improving quality and reducing spoilage.
• Ensure excellent housekeeping standards are maintained.

Job Requirements

The successful candidates will be a qualified Engineer or Mechanic, with a minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification. Preferably you will have experience of working in a high-speed production environment although with these positions comprehensive training will be given to successful candidates. You should also possess:-

• A willingness to work flexibly
• The ability to work under pressure
