Job Description:

A social media strategist should be responsible for –

Strategizing – what tactics works best for your brand. A coherent plan that meets the company goals. Identifying the best platforms for your brand. Audience selection and set the messaging tone.

Engaging – with the audience. Creating a voice on the social channels by various methods like content/creatives/polls/videos and more that resonates well with your brand and the audience you wish to target.

Creating – relevant content/creatives that help your audience understand your brand well. Understanding the algorithms of different social media channels and creating content pegs accordingly.

Scheduling – the posts on specific times to reach the maximum of your audiences. Ensuring the posts are scheduled for all the channels at optimal times.

Listening – to what the audiences have to say about your brand and your direct competitors. It is very important to be on top of social listening to avoid negative impact on the social world. Constantly look for mentions, conversations, replies, tags that is related to the brand and analyze them for insights.

Measuring – results by tracking relevant metrics and insights on each platform. Have knowledge of various measurement and analytics tools to understand the audience behavior and use this data to devise future strategy for the brand.

Experimenting – with different off-track marketing strategies to keep up with the ever-changing social media trends. Constantly keep in touch with latest best practices and technology upgrades related to the industry and social media platforms to keep the audience engaged on your brands' page.
Qualifications:

Other things that a social media strategist should know –
• Collaborate with various sales and marketing teams to create social media campaigns.
• Set up and optimize the company pages on each platform and increase the brands visibility online.
• Create and maintain content calendars and schedules.
• Work with copywriters and designers to ensure the content is appealing to your audiences.
• Have a fresh, trendy, and out of the box ideas to help your brand reach the maximum online visibility.
• Proactively looking for new ideas and suggesting them to the internal team for implementation.
• Have knowledge on various networking and scheduling tools, like Hootsuite, Sproutsocial, etc. Additional Information:

Requirements –
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in the social media marketing or digital marketing sector.
• Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
• Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
• Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
• Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
• Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organisational ability
• Fluency in English
