System Integration and Application Software Engineer - Melbourne based – Permanent Full Time

This role is open to candidates in Melbourne (only), hybrid working.



Due to an expanding team, a System Integration and Application Software Engineer role has now become available.



Key Responsibilities:-



Design and develop NodeJS applications, including creating specifications, implementing detailed designs, and conducting unit and integration testing with associated hardware to meet deadlines and functional requirements
Convert customer needs into a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
Create system designs that satisfy both customer and product specifications
Oversee the complete development lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment, followed by continuous maintenance and updates
Build applications using embedded Linux, scripting, NodeJS, and JavaScript
Design complex and interactive UI/UX interfaces for user-focused applications
Draft and review user documentation such as manuals and release notes
Assist customers with the implementation of solutions and provide ongoing maintenance support


Key Requirements:-



Over 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and debugging software and web applications
Skilled in embedded Linux, NodeJS, and JavaScript development
Proficient in C/C++ and Python programming
Strong knowledge of networking protocols used in router applications
Extensive experience with asynchronous messaging protocols
Proficient in using GitHub and/or GitLab for version control
