Software Developer for Internet Exchange Platforms

Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced software developer to design, develop, and maintain API-based solutions for internet exchange platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and Develop API Solutions: Design, develop, and maintain IX-API-based solutions for internet exchange platforms.
• Integration with Internal Systems: Integrate IX-API with internal systems and third-party platforms.
• Automation of Provisioning Tasks: Collaborate with network engineering and DevOps teams to automate provisioning and configuration tasks.
• API Performance and Troubleshooting: Ensure API implementations follow industry standards and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IX-API functionality and performance.
• Documentation: Document API specifications, workflows, and integration guides.
• Participation in Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• IX-API Development Experience: Proven experience with IX-API development and integration.
• Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or JavaScript.
• RESTful APIs and JSON: Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and OpenAPI specifications.
• Internet Exchange Operations: Understanding of internet exchange operations and BGP routing.
• CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Network Automation Tools: Knowledge of network automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced Networking Technologies: Experience working with EVPN, VXLAN, or other advanced networking technologies.
• Open-Source Contributions: Contributions to open-source IX-API projects or community involvement.
• Containerization and Orchestration Tools: Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
