Skills and Competencies:
• Should have sound fundamental understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, Relational Databases, Multi-Threading, File I/O and Exception handling.
• Should have demonstrable & verifiable skills in coding modules for web applications and/or client-server applications
• Knowledge of basic OOPs concepts and use of IDE for collaborative development.
• Knowledge and Exposure to cloud based web application development, enterprise search engines and Ajax based UI development.
• Awareness of coding standards, performance/tuning methods and MVC framework – a significant plus
• Knowledge of Shell scripts and Batch scripts – desirable
• Strong skill sets expected in the following areas: Core Java, JSP, HTML & JavaScript
• Supplementary Skill sets which will be a major plus: J2EE Design Patterns, Servlets, Web services, JSON, AJAX, XSLT, Google Web Toolkit(GWT), Solr, MySQL, Jquery, C#, ANT

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for core software development of our new product offering, Zukmo – A Cloud based Personal Digital Library.
• Responsible for assigned component analysis, design, implementation, unit testing, deployment, enhancement, defect investigation and resolution.
• Work with the UI team to enhance user experience of the product.
• Document and communicate component design to other team members.
• Resolve assigned customer reported issues in a timely manner.
• Work with QA team to deliver a high quality product and ensure successful release to our customers.
• Work with QA team to anticipate and resolve performance and stability issues.
• Review customer feedback and enhance the capabilities of the products.

Qualification:

Primarily Graduates (preferably in Computer Science) with BE /B.Tech /M. Tech/ME
