Our core tasks include Selection, Defect Elimination, and operational process support for WW Retail teams where there is an air gap in the tech stack. The tech team in RBS develops automation that leverages Machine/Deep Learning to scale execution of these high complex tasks currently requiring human cognitive skills.

We aim to ensure that information in Amazon's catalog is complete, correct, and comprehensive enough to provide Amazon customers with a great shopping experience every time. We are building solutions to move towards retail automation and utilize the latest technology like LLM to solve business problems.

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Software Development Manager who thrives on understanding the complexity of software systems and brings a nuanced understanding of different aspects of technologies spanning machine learning, GenAI, and big data processing. The candidate should be able to generalize platforms and services that can be applied to a wide variety of use cases enabling reuse and hence enabling faster rollouts to support business.

You will work with technical and non-technical users, including engineers, product managers, business owners, program managers, and operations teams, to design and implement key initiatives for automating large-scale processes that drive Amazon's retail engine.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate is an experienced software development leader who understands and sets a high bar for all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing, and operations.

Key qualifications include:

7+ years of engineering experience
">
3+ years of engineering team management experience
">
8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
">
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations

Experience partnering with product or program management teams
">
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
">
Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers
