Responsibilities
This role is integral in designing, optimizing, and managing Snowflake-based data environments to meet business needs and ensure performance, scalability, and security
You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to align data environments with organizational objectives
This role requires hands-on expertise in Snowflake architecture, cloud integration, and secure data management practices
Design data structures and processes to fully utilize Snowflake's features, including data sharing, scalability, and secure data exchange
Create blueprints for data storage, processing, and access within the Snowflake platform
Optimize data pipelines and workflows for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
Integrate Snowflake with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), third-party tools, and on-premises systems
Implement strategies to secure sensitive data, including encryption, role-based access control, and data masking
Manage Snowflake SSO and SCIM configurations for secure access and identity management
Configure and manage Snowflake Virtual Warehouses for performance and cost control
Automate administrative tasks using Snowflake SQL, Python, or Shell scripting
Monitor system performance and address bottlenecks to optimize query performance
Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment with Snowflake capabilities
Develop technical documentation, including diagrams and reports, to support project deliverables
