eQ’s SDET team is a group of highly accomplished and passionate yet friendly members who are responsible to design, develop and maintain new and existing automation frameworks, continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in test regression, tests coverage and automation of newly implemented functionality, and development of tools to enable QA efficiencies. The SDET will also work closely with Software Developers, Project Management to form and follow quality procedures, standards, and specifications ensuring they are met and deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. We are expanding the existing capacity in Pune (India) by onboarding passionate and like-minded SDETs into our team. Since eQ caters to exclusive clients worldwide, the new member would need to have excellent communication skills and a zest to adapt to new technologies.

Our SDET team members are responsible for:
• Specific duties and responsibilities include creating, maintaining and executing automation test plans, writing test code against frameworks, estimating test efforts, analysing and communicating test results, defect tracking and participating in day-to-day QA activities, and contribute to the company's performance and scalability testing efforts.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining integration tests framework.
• Develop and maintain Jenkins CICD pipelines.
• Responsible for maintaining code quality and managing security vulnerabilities.
• Black box and white box testing of modules.
• Troubleshoot bugs reported on product and come up with Junit reproducer for the use case for the framework (Horizontals)
• Integration testing through Integration framework and through Product usages of the functionalities.
• Help certify modules for different JDK versions and distribution.
• Multi node tests verification for Distributed Frameworks like DCM, Distributed Cache etc.
• Enhance and extend test automation frameworks.
• Identify quality tasks during team sprint cycle and think about testing and automation strategies and estimate test efforts and implement automation for new features.
• Be part of sprint ceremonies and help create and review user stories.
• Analyse and communicate test results and defect tracking.
• Participate in performance and load test effort.
• Assist in the planning, creation, and control of the test environments and test data.
• Participate in the review of QA procedures and processes and provide recommendations for improvement to eliminate redundancies in testing and improve efficiency.
• Innovate in best automation, Agile and continuous testing practices by trying new frameworks and technologies on the market and recommending their use.
• Mentor the team and individuals on best automation practices, design and implementation.

Your key success factors:
• B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field 2+ years' experience in a Quality Engineering role
• Experience with Java and SQL
• Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an SDET role
• Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills
• Experience with test automation frameworks, Selenium WebDriver preferred
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline
• Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
• Hands-on experience with writing automation test code and utilizing leading industry standard tools (Postman, IDEs, Terminal, Selenium, etc.) and frameworks that can simulate complex multi-system scenarios.
• Proficiency with automated testing types (Unit, Functional, Load, Security, Behavioural, Integration, Component, Contract, End-to-End).
• Understanding of web technologies, including web services, web application servers and RESTful APIs.
