Software Engineer Senior Level – Volvo Financial Services

The Global Headquarters for Volvo Financial Services is seeking a Software Engineer for the VFS Integration Office, within VFS Digital and IT.
What you will do
As a Software Engineer, you will take responsibilities in the following areas:
Design and Implement Cloud-Based Integration Solutions: Develop integration solutions using Azure to meet business requirements and create a scalable and efficient integration architecture
Define Integration Standards: Develop integration architecture and define integration standards for the organization to ensure consistency in the system architecture and design
Evaluate Technologies: Evaluate new technologies, tools, and approaches, related to cloud-based integration platforms and recommend solutions that can improve performance, security, and scalability
Manage Integration Projects: Work with stakeholders, business analysts, project managers, and developers to manage integration projects from inception to delivery
Provide Technical Expertise: Act as a technical expert and advise on integration techniques, tools, and approaches to developers, architects, and business stakeholders
Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team

You will report directly to the Integration Office Lead. Qualifications likely required to be successful in this role include:
University degree or equivalent in Software Engineering
10+ years of working experience as a Software Engineer
5+ years of working experience with Azure Cloud
Exceptional Azure Cloud infrastructure knowledge and practice
In-depth knowledge of integration methodologies, patterns, and best practices
Experience in designing and developing integration solutions using middleware technologies (examples include ESB and API)
Understanding of security and compliance regulations related to cloud-based integration solutions
Working understanding of security compliance requirements. Propose and setup required security audits and ensure the platform security is complaint.
Experience with Agile Scrum practices and software development life cycle
Proficient knowledge Azure – Java Spring Boot, AKS, Istio, Azure Devops
Pragmatic and resilient mindset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Additional skills desired: Graphql, REST, Grpc, Oauth 2.0
