Marut Singh - An Industry Leader with 18+ years in software development, has vast experience in various domains like Automobile, Ecommerce, Logistics, Fintech, Algorithmic Trading & EdTech. At very early stage in his career, he got exposure to work with Silicon Valley and Europe where he collaborated with some of the finest developers in the world. He has been an instrumental part of start-up eco system with multiple successful exits such as Mettl, Wizni & Delhivery. He has expertise in technologies like C++, .Net & Java who loves to work with developers directly, sharing his experience with them and exploring new tech stacks/frameworks to figure out the best possible solutions. He is a fierce proponent of cloud technologies and frequently talks about the same at various Tech meet ups & Forums.

Software Engineer:

We are building India's largest auto-tech company so we have to make sure that we build a solid foundation based on sound engineering practices and architects will play a great role in helping us achieve that role.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Building scalable, highly available, resilient, extendable, secured architecture to provide a significant boost to the business.

• Writing high quality code to achieve business goals.

• Working with various cross-functional teams to understand their needs, offering them solutions and setting and managing their expectations.

• Ensuring timely & high quality delivery. Following up best practices for development and championing their adoption as per company defined standards.

• Developing with scale and speed amidst flux, there is just a LOT happening.

• Up-to-date with emerging technology trends and ability to choose the best

• You will regularly read tech blogs, books, and enhance your knowledge. You are someone who keeps an eye on the best of the product designs across the world and how best tech companies solve problems at scale.

• You understand what, how and why of tech stacks and can defend your decisions with sound engineering fundamentals and data.

• You understand how the web works. Why things fail in production and when they fail how to provide a quick fix and long term solution.

• You understand how frameworks are designed and how platforms are developed.

• You understand security aspects, Containers, Production monitoring,

• You have in-depth knowledge of Java and its ecosystem. You do not mind learning new languages and writing code if that’s what brings the best of solutions.

• You are hands on leader who talks through his code and solution design.

• You can go into open source code and identify how those solutions can be included in Cars24 products.

You will be expected to build A/B frameworks, high performance web apps, Central Security Systems, highly configurable business workflows, recommender systems and apply the latest algorithms to solve daunting problems.

Ideal Candidate profile:

• 1-3 years of relevant industry experience.

• An engineering degree from a top institution

• Deep understanding of technologies and architecture for a scalable and highly available set-up

• Experienced in Java and related Technologies like Spring/Hibernate/

• Experienced in using Message Brokers like RabbitMQ, NATS

• Experienced in Distributed technologies like Vert.x/Akka/Zookeeper

• Experienced in Streaming technologies like Kafka, Flink

• Experienced in Container Technologies like Docker, Kubernetes

• Experience working with NoSQL Databases

• Not afraid of refactoring existing system and guiding the team about same

• Experienced in developing the long-term tech strategy for analytics and translate that into an achievable roadmap

• Up-to-date with emerging technology trends and ability to choose the best

• Strong in open source technologies, agile development and Big Data technologies

• Proven track record of hiring and managing high performing engineering team responsible for delivery of scalable and extensible distributed systems

• Ability to drive multiple projects and deliver them on time with high quality.
