Job Description
Location: 5010 Solid Waste & Recycling
Pay Grade: A03
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Under general supervision and or lead direction, collects refuse, green waste, recycling or bulky waste for processing or disposal.
*This position performs duties deemed to be “safety sensitive" and is therefore subjected to random drug testing under the City’s policies*
Essential Job Functions
Loads refuse, trash, and brush into a refuse collection truck.
Rakes trash and brush into piles and loads into packer.
Cleans solid waste & recycling truck after completing daily route.
Performs routine maintenance on solid waste & recycling truck.
Operates packing mechanism.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
Requires an ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations, with no experience required; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
