Job Description:

As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in Kitchen Management: Support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, including supervising kitchen staff, coordinating food preparation, and ensuring smooth workflow during service hours.
• Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
• Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu planning and development, including creating new dishes and refining existing recipes to enhance the dining experience.
• Quality Control: Monitor and maintain food quality and safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of ingredients and equipment.
• Inventory Management: Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste.
• Staff Training: Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, safety procedures, and kitchen protocols, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Customer Service: Ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation before they reach the guests, addressing any special requests or dietary restrictions.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during service, including handling guest complaints and making adjustments to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen, with a strong background in continental cuisine.
• Skills: Proficient in culinary techniques, kitchen management, and food safety practices. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Education: Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Passion: A genuine passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
