About the Role
As the Specialist, Employee Communications, you'll spearhead creative campaigns, shape compelling narratives, and produce impactful content that motivates our workforce to connect emotionally and meaningfully with strategic objectives. You'll lead the charge in fostering engagement and driving the "hearts and minds" approach to communication.
Here’s how you’ll contribute:
Strategically design and execute communication campaigns that align with IIA’s business priorities and Employee Communication strategy.
Bring creativity to content creation, engaging employees through emails, newsletters, intranet updates, and leadership communications.
Develop storytelling projects and campaigns that connect employees to the organisational vision and culture.
Maintain internal communication platforms with consistency and clarity.
Use data and feedback to measure impact and recommend continuous improvements.
Collaborate with stakeholders like HR and business leaders to source timely, meaningful content.
Help coordinate employee events, town halls, and engagement activities with thoughtful and innovative approaches.
Innovate continuously to uplift communication practices and drive employee engagement.
This is a permanent full-time position open to candidates based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) and Meanjin (Brisbane).
About You
You are an experienced communicator with the skills, creativity, and mindset to make a difference:
You hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
With 7+ years of expertise in internal or corporate communications, you’re a masterful writer and storyteller who creates compelling, engaging content for internal audiences.
You’re adept with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and ideally video editing tools.
Collaboration is second nature to you, and you’re skilled in stakeholder management and team engagement.
You bring a proactive attitude, the WOW factor and accountability to everything you do, with a focus on growth and career development.
Creativity drives you, and you thrive on "thinking outside the square" to deliver impactful communication strategies.
You’re analytical, using insights and data to refine and improve your approach.
