We are seeking an experienced Speechwriter to work within a federal government agency on a 6-month contract.
In this role you will be required to develop and write speeches and a range of other communication products for senior leaders including the Minister and executives.
To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:
Extensive experience in speech writing for government and executives
Experience in delivering capability-building activities and working within a fast-paced professional communications environment
High level stakeholder management skills
The ability to communicate persuasively and with influence and to manage conflicting priorities and short deadlines
The ability to lead and mentor staff and develop staff speech writing capabilities of the current team
A relevant degree or diploma with a major in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing, or recognised skills, cadetship or relevant experience that the agency considers appropriate to the duties of the position.
Please note that you must be an Australian citizen to be considered for this opportunity.
This is a contract opportunity for a 6-month period, and can be based in Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney, with flexible working options.
