Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and availability
Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard company data and ensure data integrity
Manage database security, including user access controls and permissions
Collaborate with application developers to design and optimize database schemas and queries
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as indexing, statistics updates, and data purging
Develop and implement database policies, procedures, and best practices
Document databases, configurations, and changes for compliance and auditing
Research and implement new database technologies and upgrades
Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution for database environments
