The SQL Database Reporting Manager will focus on analyzing healthcare financial data and developing reports that provide insights into the operational and financial health of the business
The position involves leading a small team of Data Analysts and Report Developers and collaborating closely with various departments, including Business Users, Billing, Finance, and Database and Application teams
Requirement Gathering: Collect and document business and functional requirements and specifications
Quality & Consistency: Ensure the quality and consistency of all reports and metrics, assisting in their consolidation
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data, build database tables, stored procedures, and reports to deliver requested information
Team Leadership: Lead a small team of data analysts/report developers and manage their deliverables
Collaboration: Work closely with the Database & Application Team and other stakeholders to coordinate on projects
Project Management: Collaborate with business owners to define priorities, plan, develop, test, and deploy solutions
Metrics Development: Define key metrics to provide insights and obtain approval for development
Business Process Mapping: Understand business processes and map them to underlying data elements
Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve gaps and issues between different data elements in the pipeline/process
Automation & Streamlining: Automate and streamline the delivery of reports and alerts
Documentation: Document reports, definitions, tasks due, escalate issues, and communicate progress
Standard Practices: Work with the team and other developers to establish standard practices
Cross-functional Collaboration: Identify data dependencies across business units and set up necessary controls
Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships between different business units to facilitate collaboration
Additional Support: Assist with other analysis, development, and QA tasks as needed
