Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant will report directly to and work alongside the Chief Financial Officer
The Senior Accountant's responsibilities will include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other reporting duties as assigned
Assist with financial reporting including preparing and analyzing the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements)
Perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, monthly accrual entries, maintaining accounting schedules, and account reconciliations
Prepare monthly credit card and bank reconciliations
Review and approve customer invoices generated by project managers
Create ad hoc specialized invoices, as required
Prepare remote bank deposits
Set ACH, print checks, and set-up intercompany transfers
Create, track, and pay reoccurring charges (e.g., rent charges)
Support the annual audit process and liaise with the external auditors
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards, including assessing technical requirements for any new or complex transactions
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning
Provide financial analysis and support to management for decision-making purposes including Board reporting
Assist with the preparation of regulatory reports and filing (e.g., quarterly bank reporting)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations

Knight Commercial, a leading PE-backed property restoration company based in Dallas, Texas, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations. The Senior Accountant will report directly to and work alongside the Chief Financial Officer. Knight has experienced exceptional growth and is actively looking to expand its finance and accounting team.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
