Roles & Responsibilities
Payroll specialists in the UK, Bulgaria, and Germany ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, per each country's legal and regulatory requirements. While the core responsibilities of a payroll specialist remain similar, there are differences based on local labor laws and regulations.
• Understanding of payroll systems, tax laws, and employment regulations specific to European countries (UK, Bulgaria, Germany and Switzerland)
• Knowledge of local tax laws, employee benefits, and social security contributions.
• Understanding how to calculate and apply tax, pensions, insurance, etc. deductions in various European jurisdictions.
• Precision in calculating wages, bonuses, taxes, and deductions.
• Ensuring all figures are correct to avoid errors and ensure compliance.
• Ability to analyze payroll data and generate reports for internal management, audits, or government authorities.
• Ensuring the correct documentation and reporting according to local compliance requirements.
• Keeping up to date with ever-changing employment laws, labor regulations, and tax legislation across different European countries.
• Ensuring timely payment and submission of reports to government agencies.
• Ability to handle large volumes of data with tight deadlines, ensuring payroll is processed on time.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
• Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including software licenses, SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, master service agreements, MSAs, non-disclosure agreements, NDAs, and other related contracts.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to internal business teams on contract terms, risk assessment, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with sales, finance, operations, and other departments to ensure contracts align with business objectives and legal requirements.
• Develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks to streamline the contracting process and ensure consistency.
Requirements
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in India (for Lawyer title) or Bachelor's degree in a related field and extensive experience in contract management (for Manager title).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, with a significant focus on software and technology-related agreements.
• Deep understanding of software licensing models, SaaS agreements, intellectual property rights, data privacy regulations, and other relevant legal principles.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex contract terms with sophisticated counterparties.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely explain legal concepts to non-legal audiences.

• Maintaining confidentiality around employee pay, tax details, and other sensitive financial data.
• Understanding the importance of safeguarding personal data under GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
Key Skills & Qualifications
• Passionate about global payroll and compensation related topics and be customer centric focus
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree required in related field (Human Resources or Finance related academic credentials preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of European countries in Payroll and/or Compensation fields
• Experience in global payroll is a must and exposure in compensation and benefits will be an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English is required, other international languages will be an advantage
• Demonstrable experience with payroll and/or compensation processes, statistics and benchmark data
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) required
