Design, create, deploy, and manage an organization's data architecture
Define how the data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities and IT systems, as well as any applications using or processing data
Main tasks and responsibilities for planning and execution of data architecture:
Data Strategy and Architecture Design: Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data
Establish rules and procedures for data sharing
Data Management: Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating operations, applications, and programming
Data Security and Quality: Assess system performance and make adjustments as needed
Ensure all data systems meet company and legal requirements
Systems Integration: Coordinate with key stakeholders to guarantee system integrations align with data management foundation
Technical Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data architecture
Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, data scientists, and data analysts to ensure system consistency
Being comprehensive requires familiarity in order to manage the following aspects (expertise will be expected in at least one area): Business acumen, Coding (custom logic), Infrastructure, Data, Integration, and Security
Develop and review key architecture deliverables, preliminary and high-level architecture models for software and infrastructure solutions under development
