Position: Engineering Manager/Sr Manager

Overview:

BDR Pharmaceuticals, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager/Sr Manager to oversee all verticals of engineering at our Baska location, including General Injectables, OSD (Oral Solid Dosage), and R&D (Research and Development) facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering management, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff of engineering section across General Injectables, OSD, and R&D facilities.
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth among team members.
Engineering Operations:
Responsible for the engineering operations for Baska. Location including General Injectables, OSD, and R&D facilities, ensuring seamless production processes and minimal downtime of utilities section.
Implement best practices to optimize manufacturing efficiency and productivity while maintaining high-quality standards.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure strict adherence to GMP Guidelines & regulatory compliance, industry standards, and company policies related to engineering practices.
Collaborate with regulatory affairs and quality assurance teams to guarantee compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Capital Projects and Equipment Maintenance:
Manage capital projects related to engineering, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment and facilities, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
Process Improvement and Innovation:
Identify areas for process improvement and cost optimization within the engineering department.
Drive innovation initiatives, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.
Vendor Management:
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source high-quality materials, equipment, and services at competitive prices.
Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of goods and services.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the engineering department budget, allocating resources effectively and controlling costs to achieve financial objectives.

Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) from a reputable institution.
Minimum of 15+ years of experience in engineering management within the pharmaceutical industry
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of professionals.
Excellent project management abilities, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessment.
Understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards related to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
