Job Description
As a Senior SDET, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and implementing robust test automation frameworks, writing and executing test cases, and collaborating closely with the development and quality assurance teams. Your expertise in test automation, test methodologies, and software development will contribute to delivering high-quality, scalable, and performance-driven software solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
• Accountable for the Quality Automation planning and testing of the application for the assigned projects
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using appropriate testing frameworks and tools.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous testing practices to enable efficient and reliable automated testing.
• Develop manual and automated test cases/scripts
• Execute manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, security, and scalability.
• Identify, document, and track defects in the bug tracking system, working closely with development and product teams to facilitate their resolution.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and report test progress and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Guides and mentors lower level engineering personnel in all aspects of SDET, and provides assistance and feedback to help them progress in their SDET careers
• Works productively and with minimal management supervision while showing excellent team attitude
• Collaborate with Engineering and Technical Services teams for search relevance testing
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of testing requirements and objectives.
• Continuously identify opportunities for test process improvement, efficiency gains, and enhanced test coverage.
• Help improve the quality of the product by improving our internal dictionary which is used across our different product.
• Perform search on websites and test for functionality, relevancy and usability.
• Proactively suggest improvements to the overall development and testing processes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to set up and maintain test environments and testing infrastructure.
• Ensure test environments mirror production setups accurately to simulate real-world scenarios.
• Ability to make logical decisions, thoroughly check product details to ensure the results are relevant. Provide feedback to help the team achieve more consistent results with high quality
• Conduct security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure the security posture of the software.
• Perform search on websites and test for functionality, relevancy and usability
• Integration QA - perform pre-live checks and post launch support for new customers
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risks.
• Participate in project status meetings and present test results to project teams and management.
Skills and Knowledge:
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing with 2-3 years of experience in developing automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver
• Experience in developing Automation Frameworks
• Experience using Selenium WebDriver with Java/C#, TestNG and Maven
• Strong programming skills in Java/C#
• Experience using a Continuous Integration tool is preferred (preferably JENKINS)
• Good knowledge of Web Services
• Experience in API testing using REST Assured (Postman preferred)
• Experience in QA Methodologies - Agile preferred
• Experience in analyzing requirements & create Test scenarios
• Knowledge of Defect Management Process & Defect lifecycle
• Good knowledge in testing concepts, SDLC/STLC, Agile Methodologies
• Working knowledge of defect tracking software (Azure DevOps/TFS preferred)
• Working knowledge of Test Management Tool (MTM/ALM preferred) Working knowledge of database (e.g., MySQL)
• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills, Critical thinking
• Written (email) communication skills and ability to raise defects, good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and can meet hard deadlines
• Experience leading ambiguous situations, dealing with technical issues and coming up with effective solutions to ensure project deliverables
