Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Mohali

Shift: Night

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Supervise accounting staff, screen and assign workload, plan, prioritize, and assign tasks and projects, problems, and technical issues.

· Perform all related accounting functions required to maintain the general ledger in compliance with GAAP and company policy and procedures

· Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable processes including entering daily invoices/bills/journal entries/weekly check runs/monthly accruals.

· Review aging reports and contact vendors/customers regarding overdue balances.

· Reviewing journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy

· Analyse expenses to evaluate cost cutting opportunities to drive value to the clients.

· Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.

· Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules.

· Month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting.

· Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing team

Additional Skills Required:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

· 2 + years of accounting experience.

· Working knowledge of different accounting software QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Sage.

· Strong financial analysis skills.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Highly detail-oriented and organized
