About The Role

The Operations Management Group is recruiting for a ‘WBS Houlden Fellow’ post for the next academic year (2024/25). The position is fixed term for a period of 36 months.
The postholder will divide their time between three areas of activity: (1) progressing their own research agenda; (2) supporting current WBS research activity and (3) gaining valuable teaching experience. All Houlden Fellows will benefit from the mentoring of a Professorial colleague, to help them develop their academic careers, over the three-year period. Holden Fellows have their own budget for research and travel.

We are particularly interested in empirically oriented applicants who focus on organizational problems of contemporary relevance adopting a process perspective.

If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure. Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure.
About The Department
Members of the Operations Management Group undertake research in several fields, including supply chain management, continuous improvement, performance measurement and management, design and innovation, and servitization. We apply and advance a variety of methods, both qualitative and quantitative. Our research has been published in various top journals such as the Journal of Operations Management, the Academy of Management Journal, Production and Operations Management, the Journal of Supply Chain Management, and Research Policy.

What you will bring:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience 8+ Yrs of experience in Android applications development Prior experience working in a high-growth stage company building and architecting SAAS products and solutions The ability to provide technical insight and overall direction on projects from concept to delivery Highly skilled communicator. You’ll spend a fair part of your day talking and working with others Exemplary technical skills. Development experience in Java and Kotlin.
