Staff Nurse

v Provide direct care to assigned patients.

v Take the nursing history, summaries data, and state nursing diagnoses/patient care needs.

v Observe and record signs, symptoms, and behaviors, including the physiological status of patients; present the assessment of changes, the proposed revision of interventions, and desired outcomes.

v Follow policy for activating an individualized plan of care for newly admitted patients.

v Deliver designated nursing interventions to assigned patients that are consistent with the stated medical plan of care.

v Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures, and assist others with patient's activities and care.

v Execute physician's orders for all assigned patients; safely and properly administers medications and treatments.

v Notify appropriate nursing and medical staff to changes in the patient's status.

v Independently perform duties and assume responsibility for care of assigned patients.

v Perform techniques and routines in the specialty service area.

v Perform or assist others to perform proper aseptic techniques, isolation procedures, and infection control measures.

v Document nursing care in all assigned patient records.

v Maintain patient's privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.

v Evaluate care given including the patient response.

v Monitoring and evaluating nursing care that is delegated to Enrolled Nurses and HCAs Participates in regular Performance Reviews and contributes to peer review Maintains infection control principles Evaluates environmental safety, completes hazard identification and risk assessments Proactive and responsible in maintaining health and safety for clients, staff and public.

v To obey the rules of SOORIYA HOSPITAL & to follow any instructions / work assigned by top management.
