As part of the senior technical leadership team, you will contribute to the mission of the software function by leading teams on delivery of quality products, innovation, product functioning and development of team capabilities.
In this role you will lead the function of Site Reliability Engineering, keeping up the Uptime commitments for the System. You will have thorough understanding of the System Architecture of the Application running in the Cloud Environment. You will complement the Cloud Infra Engineer, jointly ensuring efficient and healthy functioning of the Application in the Cloud. You will also identify opportunities of continuous improvements of the overall Cloud Infrastructure and support the System Architect in strategizing and implementation activities.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Strong hands-on industry experience of 12 yrs. in overall Software Development Infrastructure Engineering functions, including on-prem environment and minimum 6 yrs. of proven experience in the Cloud context.
Understand the vision to design and integrate quality within Software Development Life Cycle, following SAFe / Agile methodologies.
Thorough understanding and appreciation of the Six Pillars of AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Design, establish and manage complete Software System Reliability Monitoring Infrastructure in the Cloud, ensuring committed Reliability, Availability, Recoverability and overall performance Key Performance Indicators.
Actively dealing with the Four golden signals of system monitoring, namely Latency, Traffic, Errors and Saturation.
Take and own on-call responsibilities of responding to incidents and fixing issues following SLAs and conduct post-incident reviews.
Actively contribute to functions like Build automation, CI, CD & CT in Cloud-first paradigm over containerized deployment environment.
Supporting the DevOps and ITOps in upkeeping the nightly builds, static code analysis, static application security testing scheme and vulnerability scan procedures.
With strong knowledge of monitoring operational cost for various AWS Services, to help the System Architect in overall cost optimization of Cloud solutions.
Desired Technical skills / experience:
Strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-code tools, e.g. AWS CloudFormation or HashiCorp Terraform.
Thorough understanding of Cloud Native Architecture.
Proven hands-on experience of working with AWS services, namely IAM, EKS, Lambda, ALB, API Gateway, S3, RDS etc.
Support the Architect establish RTO & RPO Targets, implement and maintain the system up to these objectives.
Experience of using tracing tools like AWS X-Ray service and utilizing the output to derive meaningful insight and optimization opportunities.
Experience of performing Chaos Experiments using AWS Step Functions and AWS Fault Injection Simulators.
General understanding of Database Management Systems, including NoSql DBs.
Advanced level experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Containers and Helm Charts.
Extensive experience in overseeing CI/CD/CT pipelines operations for SaaS Systems, namely Jenkins, Gitlab etc. for building and pushing images to registry.
Experience with Custom Controllers, Custom CRD, Service Mesh.
Proven proficiency with at least one scripting/programming language, e.g Python, PowerShell.
Experience of integrating monitoring and logging tools, namely Grafana, Prometheus, ELK.
Solid understanding on networking and security, focusing on VPN, firewalls, encryptions etc.
Thorough understanding of various deployment strategies, namely blue-green, Canary etc.
Experience in Healthcare domain, appreciations of standards and Regulatory Compliance requirements like GDPR, HIPPA etc.
General appreciation of experience of working with Organisation-wide Cloud Platforms.
Preferred professional training and certification
Certification in Cloud Technology – AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
CKA / CKAD
Preferably Site Reliability Engineer certifications.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Clear communicator with strong written and oral communication skills especially in a global context.
