Statement of Job Purpose and Responsibility:
The Communications Summer Associate will work closely with our Communications Manager to provide support for ongoing fundraising activities, and to assist in a variety of projects aimed at enhancing our Foundation’s engagement, messaging, and visibility throughout the communities of Chatham-Kent.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)
Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma program related to communications, marketing or public relations.
Familiarity with social media platforms and other digital marketing channels.
Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
Basic knowledge of graphic design tools, including Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES (Personal Skills and Attributes)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Creative thinking and a willingness to contribute new ideas to communication strategies.
