As a Communications Associate with reVerb, you will play a pivotal role in building relationships, delivering information, and creating materials for Edmontonians who live, work and drive near the most significant projects in our city’s history.
Who We Are:
reVerb Communications is a boutique communications firm located in Edmonton, Canada. We specialize in communications and public engagement for capital infrastructure with a focus on transit and transportation. We’ve supported major initiatives including the Capital Line and Valley Line LRT projects in Edmonton, as well as Calgary’s Green Line. We also work on smaller-scale municipal upgrades that require thoughtful communication with affected communities.
Our team brings experience from broadcasting, journalism, advocacy, construction and government—giving us a well-rounded understanding of how infrastructure projects are scoped, funded and delivered.
Who We Are Looking For:
The Communications Associate thinks proactively and strategically, and knows all too well how to quickly assess and address issues as they arise.
Working closely within a small communications team, the Communications Associate will execute communications strategies under the direction of the Communications Manager and is primarily responsible for developing and delivering communications tools and tactics that keep Edmontonians up-to-date about the project and its impacts. The Associate will also provide support and guidance to other members of the reVerb team.
The Communications Associate will also regularly interact with the public, responding to inquiries and disseminating information via the project’s information line. They will play a pivotal role in developing communication tools to keep the public informed about the construction process, creating content for various channels.
What You Bring:
Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field
3+ years of progressive experience in a communications field
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills that leave audiences enchanted
Previous experience in customer service and/or public inquiry management is a positive
Ability to work effectively with various disciplines and manage multiple projects simultaneously within timelines
Previous experience working on construction/major projects is an asset
In our wildest dreams, you also have multimedia experience such as audio recording and capturing photo and video footage.
Role & Responsibilities:
Create and implement communication strategies with style that align with project goals and target audiences.
Lead the development of construction communication content for various platforms, ensuring it is engaging and consistent.
Collaborate with technical experts to review materials for accuracy and timeliness.
Lead public inquiry response process on behalf of the project, responding to all inquiries within the required timeframe and tracking them for reporting.
Monitor public feedback channels and analyze data and trends to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts and identify arising issues.
Participate actively in a range of technical and team meetings, offering valuable insights and contributions.
Maintain a high degree of professionalism in all interactions with the public and team members.
Compensation:
Planned compensation will be at or above industry average for an intermediate-level communications practitioner. The final amount is negotiable based on experience. This position includes a health insurance plan and a health spending account.

This is a permanent, full-time position. This role requires the successful candidate to be in person five days a week at various locations, including Downtown Edmonton and Southwest Edmonton.
