The Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture within the store. Key responsibilities include managing sales operations, asset protection, and human resources functions to ensure exceptional customer experiences and maximum profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze sales reports and KPIs to determine business needs and execute in-store strategies.
Establish clear expectations, hold team accountable for achieving brand standards, and control payroll and supply budgets.
Perform operational activities such as scheduling, target shrink audits, physical inventory, opening and closing duties, time sheet review, and merchandise flow processes.
Ensure accurate register transactions, compliance with laws, loss prevention policies, and operating procedures.
Beyond Operations:
Administer inventory receipt/dispatch, daily replenishment of floor merchandise levels, and execution of physical inventories.
Maintain visual presentation, organization, and facility maintenance that represents the Brand.
Develop a high-performance culture by motivating sales teams to meet assigned sales and productivity goals.
Train and coach staff on product knowledge, locate fulfillment, and selling techniques.
Building High-Performing Teams:
Motivate and inspire store teams by modeling core values and promoting an inclusive approach to problem-solving.
Communicate effectively with store teams and the Store Manager to lead positive change.
Solicit feedback to improve leadership skills.
Customer Experience:
Model and promote Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards, offering an omni-channel experience.
Utilize various sales techniques, communicate product knowledge, and recommend merchandise selections based on customer needs.
Promptly resolve customer concerns and maintain efficient register experiences.
Talent Development:
Assist in recruiting, hiring, and developing a high-performing team.
Support and implement training programs, seminars, and follow-up activities.
Coach team members on performance and resolve HR issues in a timely manner.
Recognize and reward outstanding performance and adherence to employment practices.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of retail management experience
Able to learn company-provided technology
Proven excellent customer service skills with statistical track record in sales and leadership
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Benefits:
Absence from regular attendance is not acceptable; flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
Frequent climbing (34-66%), occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (1-33%), constant walking/standing (67-100%).
